About Us

The Delta Chi Fraternity is the brotherhood of a lifetime. The goals and values of The Delta Chi Fraternity are best stated in the preamble to our constitution "Close assocation may promote friendship, develop character, advance justice, and assist in the acquisition of a sound education." However, our values are best seen in our chapter through the accomplishments our brothers strive for every day. The Brotherhood of Delta Chi knows no limits. Currently we have over seventy members hailing from over nineteen different states. Regardless of our varied backgrounds, we all share a common home. The Delta Chi Clemson Chapter house is the largest fraternity house at the university. It houses thirty two of our active brothers with ammenities that far surpass those of the quad including individual bathrooms, suite style kitchens, and an extensive property. Each brother is involved in some way on campus, whether it is through participation in established groups such as Order of Omega, Golden Key, and Mortar Board or is through individual initiative such as the foundation of GAMMA which was carried out by Delta Chi brothers. Nationally, Delta Chi has over 194 chapters in the continental U.S. and Canada. Since it's inception in 1890 Delta Chi has initiated over 100,000 members including Iowa State Alumni Ashton Kutcher and California State Alumni Kevin Costner. Back at Clemson our brothers have a unique view of what "The Clemson Experience" means. The Delta Chi Clemson Experience is not limited to campus; every semester we have at least one big event away from campus and a number of smaller events. Delta Chi's most notable events are Mountain Weekend and Formal, but Delta Chi's social calendar also includes Semiformal, Carolina Cup, and numerous brotherhood events. Delta Chi Clemson is not exclusively a social organization however, it is also a philanthropic organization. Throughout the year we participate in the numerous fundraising activities put on by other organizations. In the spring we hold our own campus-wide fundraiser. Delta Chi’s Ace of Cakes cake baking competition pits sororities against each other in a contest to construct the best confectionary while helping our chapter raise money for the Jimmy V Cancer Foundation. Aside from the numerous, easily visible aspects of the organization, Delta Chi has a less obvious quality. Economist Thomas Carlyle famously said that "A mystic bond of brotherhood makes all men one," and here at Delta Chi Clemson we take our unity seriously. Delta Chi is always searching for young men of value that want to share that sense of unity. If you think that you want to join an organization that will keep you active on campus, if you believe in the values of friendship and equality, and if you believe that you want the college experience of a lifetime, then perhaps you can one day call yourself a Delta Chi.
